In the centre of the country and bordering eight counties, many consider Northamptonshire to be a hidden gem. Whilst the Cotswolds is always in the news for the latest celebrity resident, Harry and Meghan’s children are now rumoured to be at a prep school in Northamptonshire, succeeding in one stroke to raise the profile of this area now known as the Notswolds.
The excellent schools are a major draw for the area. Many of them are day schools, rather than just for boarders, and Rugby, Oundle, Beachborough, Bilton Grange, Winchester House, Tudor Hall, Bloxham and Radley College are popular choices. As well as highly rated prep and senior schools, there is no shortage of rolling countryside, beautiful stone houses, and sleepy villages either. Plus, if you’re looking for a manor to call your own, this postcode will allow your money to go at least 20% further than a similar property in the neighbouring Cotswolds.
