Best Bonfire Night Events and Fireworks Displays Near You

Whether you’re looking for a fireworks and bonfire display near you, or you’re planning to travel a bit further afield this November, we have some fabulous events in our round-up. Many of the events are more than just fireworks, and promise funfairs, street food and outdoor bars. Here are some of the most dazzling, family-friendly displays set to take place across our region this year:

Where to watch fireworks 2024

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Blackpit Brewery Bonfire and Firework Display, Saturday 9th November

This fireworks night just over the Bucks/Northants border is famous for a jaw-dropping display and spectacular bonfire sculpture, plus a fun fair, street food, a well-stocked bar and ticket prices that aren’t sky high relative to the calibre of the event. Titanium Fireworks who light up the London Eye every New Year and oversee displays for events including the Commonwealth Games are in charge here and with the lake beneath the fireworks at Blackpit, you get the double impact of the displays reflecting on the water. With so much to do, the event runs from 3pm-8pm with tickets £19.50 per adult, £ for children aged 5-17 years and under 5s are free.

Brackley Fireworks, Saturday 2nd November

Brackley’s firework display is sponsored by Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team and this free event is always spectacular. Held at Magdalen College School in the heart of Brackley town centre, there is a funfair, a range of food and drink options and local community stalls. A highlight for motor racing fans is that the F1 Team’s W14 show car will be on display, with team members there to answer questions and raise funds for Mind, their Official Team Charity Partner. Saturday 4 November 5pm-7.15pm.

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

Olney Fireworks, Sunday 3rd November

This event is run by multi-award winners Gala Fireworks who use state-of-the-art computerised firing systems to choreograph breath-taking sequences, all synchronised to music. There are food and drink options on site plus a children's funfair. Gates at the recreation ground off East Street in Olney open at 4.30pm and the display starts at 6.45pm. Tickets are available in advance here and on the gate in limited numbers. Single tickets cost £5, and family tickets for up to 2 adults and 4 children cost £15.

 

WARWICKSHIRE

Kenilworth Round Table Fireworks Spectacular: Saturday 2nd  November

This event has grown over many years to become the premier firework display in the region, attracting people from all over Warwickshire and beyond. The fireworks display takes place against the backdrop of Kenilworth Castle, floodlit for the evening, and lasts for around half an hour, making it one of the biggest displays in the Midlands. Gates open at 5:30pm with last entry strictly at 6:45pm. Tickets cost £14.00 for an adult and £7 for a child, plus any booking fees, and must be bought in advance here.

 

HERTFORDSHIRE

Tring Festival of Fire, Saturday 2nd November

Tring Festival of Fire is a bonfire and firework display at Tring Park Cricket Club that raises funds to support sport in the local community. This popular fixture in the Tring social calendar features a variety of fantastic food and drink stalls, a guy competition, and children’s rides. The centrepiece of the evening will be a spectacular fireworks display set to popular music. The event runs from 6pm-8.30pm.

Ickleford Fireworks, Hitchin, Saturday 2nd November

Head to Ickleford Sports and Recreation Ground for an amazing fireworks display from 'Alchemy Fireworks' as well as live music, food traders and an outside bar. Tickets are available locally and in advance online and gates open at 4.30pm.

BEDFORDSHIRE

Fireworks Display and Funfair, Bedford Blues Rugby Club, Friday 1st November

Taking place at the home of the Bedford Blues, just a five-minute walk from the town centre, this display is usually a sell-out. Gates open from 6pm and there’ll be a funfair and children’s firework display from 7pm ahead of the main event at 8pm. As well as food stalls and outdoor bars you can sneak into the clubhouse and warm up with a coffee. You can even do it in style by booking a VIP table in the Dovecote Suite, or seats in The Burrow. Tickets are £8 online in advance (under 6s go free).

Turvey Bonfire and Fireworks: Saturday 2nd November

The Turvey fireworks team promise a magical evening with memories of the display that will last a lifetime. Festivities begin way before the main event, so get there early to enjoy activities designed for bonfire night enthusiasts of all ages. The fireworks start at 7.15pm and gates open at 5.30pm. Tickets are £10 per adult, £7.50 per child and £27.50 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Ampthill Fireworks, Ampthill Great Park, Friday 1st November

Described as the county’s biggest and best display there’ll be the obligatory fairground, live music and food stalls. Gates open at 6pm with the beacon lighting at 7.30pm and the main display kicking off at 7.45pm. Tickets available in advance only, £27.80 for a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children.
