Property description

A modern, bespoke five bedroom detached house with a detached, oak framed double garage, on a plot of around 0.3 acres with countryside views.

The Georgian style house was built to a high standard across three floors in 2020 using traditional construction with blockwork, Bereco timber sash windows and a clay tiled roof. Internal features include solid wood doors, underfloor heating to the ground floor, engineered wood flooring in the hall, the kitchen, dining and family area. There are Minoli floor tiles in the bathrooms, handcrafted terracotta brick floor tiles from Neptune in the utility room, boot room and cloakroom. A spacious entrance hall leads to a formal dining room with views to the front and a double aspect sitting room with a Contura wood burning stove and limestone surround. At the end of the hall is an open plan kitchen/dining/family room with two sets of French doors to mature gardens with countryside views. There are five double bedrooms and three of these each have an en suite shower room.

Kitchen/Dining/Family Room

The kitchen/dining/family room measures over 30 ft and has deVOL Shaker style units, a Rangemaster cooker, Silstone work surfaces, pewter hardware, a Belfast sink, Perrin and Rowe taps, a Fisher and Paykel fridge freezer and a Smeg dishwasher. Beyond the kitchen there is a boot room and utility room with deVOL cabinets and handcrafted tiles from Neptune and a cloakroom with tongue and groove cladding and Cole & Sons wallpaper.

First Floor and Second Floor

On the first floor there is a central landing which leads to four double bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have en suite shower rooms with Duravit suites and Minoli tiles. The master suite has a vaulted ceiling and a dressing room with handmade cabinets. Two further bedrooms share a family bathroom which has a bateau bath and a shower. Another flight of stairs leads to a fifth bedroom suite with a bedroom, a dressing area and a shower room with dual sinks.

Outside

An electric five bar gate leads to a gravel driveway and an oak framed garage and car port. A post and rail fence to the front and one side encloses the garden which has views across open countryside. At the rear there is a Riven Indian Sandstone terrace with an oak pergola and a water feature from A Place In The Garden which exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show. The property sits in 0.3 acres with selected shrubs and trees planted by the current owner.
