Escape to the country: BBC Countryfile Live
As a setting for any event Blenheim Palace is spectacular and Countryfile Live makes full use of the 100 acres of grounds. The River Glyme runs through the estate and fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tree climbing and off-roading are all included in the ticket price. Live arena shows feature farming and animal displays, from sheep and Shetlands to dogs and ducks. Elsewhere, a jam-packed schedule of talks from television presenters and personalities offers an opportunity to turn the tables and interview Matt Baker, John Craven, Ellie Harrison and the rest of the Countryfile crew.
125,000 visitors enjoyed the show last year and 10,000 dogs trotted through the turnstiles too. The show usually enjoys fabulous sunny weather and water fountains and drinking water taps are available throughout the site, along with water bowls and dog treats to ensure your four-legged friend enjoys the day as much as you do.
