Hung on a door or placed on a table with a large candle in the centre, nothing says Christmas more stylishly than a wreath. The following creative workshops across our region will help you to craft your very own seasonal wreath, perfect for adding a touch of natural beauty to your home this festive season.
OXFORDSHIRE
Daylesford Farm
Expert florists will show you how to make seasonal wreaths and garlands using natural foliage and blooms foraged from the Daylesford farm. The workshop starts in the cutting garden of the organic Cotswold farm where you’ll forage for seasonal flowers and foliage. In bad weather, you’ll find foraged materials at your work bench. Guided by an expert tutor, you’ll explore different techniques for wiring, arranging, and decorating your wreath, ensuring your finished design works beautifully to either hang, or use as a table decoration. 10th December 2025 – 9:30am – 1:00pm £160.00
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
Buckingham Flower Farm
Here, your wreath will be crafted from scratch using a moss base and a selection of British-grown foliage, finished with a selection of cones, dried fruits, flowers, and velvet ribbon. You are also welcome to bring a few of your own decorations to add. Workshops are available to book on dates from 4 – 13 December at cost of £65 per person and last around two hours. Alternatively, the Christmas Wreath Evening Workshop on 6 December is perfect if you’ve never made a wreath before or have found creating the foliage base tricky in the past. A demonstration will be given, and help will be on hand throughout. Christmas music will be playing, and the bar will be open serving Prosecco and mulled wine all evening.
Swallows Nursery and plant centre, Mixbury
On the Buckinghamshire-Northamptonshire border, this two hour course includes all materials, expert tuition and a helping hand as well as light refreshments. Groups of up to 10 are welcome at a cost of £49.95pp, Saturday 29th November, Wednesday 3rd December, Saturday 6th December, and Wednesday 10th December.
Howe Farm Flowers, Dorton
Based at Howe Farm on the Buckinghamshire–Oxfordshire border, this stunning walled garden at the Howbury Estate is run by Jane and Lucy who grow sustainable seasonal blooms to sell and supply to local florists. They also run floral masterclasses. Using freshly cut foliage foraged from the estate plus other seasonal adornments, the Luxury Holiday Wreath Workshop (near Brill in Bucks) on 28 November and costing £80, all the flowers used are grown and dried on the farm with other materials foraged from surrounding nature. They supply everything you need, hot drinks and snacks included.
BEDFORDSHIRE
Paris House, Woburn
Floral designer, Sophie Ayres from Sophie & Bee will show you how to create a stunning luxury Christmas door wreath using 100% biodegradable wreath bases. The wreaths will quite easily last until Christmas and beyond and afterwards can be composted or placed in green bins for recycling. The workshop suits both floristry beginners and those who love flower arranging. You will learn lots of different floristry techniques such as how to care for the fresh materials for a long-lasting wreath, as well as bow making. All materials will be provided, including seasonal foliage, Christmas accessories, and ribbon. The session will be followed by a festive lunch.
£175 workshop including tea or coffee on arrival, a glass of bubbles before lunch and a 4-course lunch. This creative homewares and upcycling boutique has become a community hub for sustainable design and local artisanry “Sip & Spruce Christmas Wreath Making” sessions are available to book at a cost of around £50-£55 starting 28 November.
Elworthy Flowers, Bedford
Using only locally grown British flowers, Elsworthy prioritizes environmentally friendly methods, avoiding floral foam and minimizing single-use plastics. Many of its blooms are cultivated in its own walled garden or sourced from nearby growers. Wreath making workshops in Newton Blossomville on Friday 28th November, Saturday 29th, Sunday 30th and Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd December at The Ent Shed, Gordon Arms, Bedford, and Friday 5th December at Turvey House, Turvey. Each one costs £60 and includes all materials and mulled wine.
House to Haven, Cranfield
Learn all the skills needed to make your own Christmas wreath at these gorgeous interiors store House to Haven in Bedfordshire. As well as all your materials and expert guidance, you’ll get a festive treat, refreshment top-ups throughout the session and a 10% VIP discount to use in store on the day. 28 Nov (7pm), £54 per person.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
Boughton House, Near Kettering
Two festive workshops are available to book in the Tapestry Suite at Boughton House. Choose between crafting a traditional Christmas wreath or creating a beautiful table centrepiece. All materials are provided, along with tea, coffee. Wreath making is on 28 & 29 November, Table centrepieces on 12 & 13 December, £55.
Stowe Heights Farm, Church Stowe
This family farm offers a festive, hands-on workshop led by Rebecca English, a floral designer trained by the renowned Philippa Craddock, whose illustrious clientele includes the V&A, Kensington Palace, and even floral arrangements for royal weddings. Rebecca brings her years of expertise and a unique approach to Christmas wreath making, offering a design aesthetic that is both luxurious and sustainable. Sunday November 30th & 4th December.

Head to The Flavour Trailor in Brixworth on 30 Nov & 7 Dec, where you can create your own Christmas wreath and enjoy a glass of fizz in this fabulous warehouse restaurant led by the brilliantly talented Wilder Floral. Tickets £55.
Kelmarsh Hall, Spratton
Celebrate festive season in the elegant surroundings of Kelmarsh Hall, with a creative and relaxing afternoon or evening of Christmas wreath making. The afternoon session includes a festive afternoon tea in the Orangery, and at the evening sessions there will be a glass of bubbly and a mince pie before you create your own bespoke Christmas wreath using an array of seasonal foliage, natural decorations, and ribbons.

Using natural materials foraged from the Abbey grounds and starting with a willow base, you’ll learn the techniques to create a wreath with pinecones, berries, holly, and ferns. Festive refreshments are provided. Various dates in December, £20 per person.

Chelsea Flower Show Finalist and professional florist Georgie Dunn delivers this festive Christmas wreath workshop. There will be an abundance of locally sourced greenery to choose from along with plenty of pinecones, oranges, cinnamon sticks, berries, and feathers for you to make your own beautiful festive wreath. HERTFORDSHIRE
Hertford Castle, Hertford
This two-hour workshop is run by local florist, Sioned Rogers. All materials will be provided for making a luxury wreath with fresh flowers and foliage. Tickets £55 per person which includes a glass of prosecco, soft drinks, and mince pies. Proceeds go to the Mayor of Hertford’s chosen charities which are Herts Young Homeless and Hertford Scouts. 4th – 7th December all day.
