An hourly service runs in each direction, Monday - Saturday, operated by London Midland. The nearest mainline stations are Milton Keynes Central (7 miles) and Bletchley (6 miles) on the West Coast line into London Euston (36 minutes from Milton Keynes, 39 minutes from Bletchley). A regular hourly bus service connects Woburn Sands to central Milton Keynes and the Milton Keynes Central rail station.
The town has an Ofsted outstanding lower school and a middle school which is rated as good. Cedars Upper School in Leighton Buzzard is the nearest secondary school and that is also rated as good.
